Recently we did an event with a group of 12 managers from the same company. They are all busy people and this was a big sacrifice time wise for them. As they filed into the small conference room it was evident that a couple of them seemed unhappy to be there. When we got to the debrief one of them admitted to having a "badittude".
Here was what we did not see coming. Once the simulation rules were explained and the teams began, this same person was one of the most enthusiastic participants. At the debrief he had many good thoughts to share. As facilitators we were impressed with the fact that learning in an interactive game environment can strongly impact the participants. We very much enjoyed the feedback during the debrief and discovered that this management team really work well together and have a lot of trust built up.
Onward and upward!
